Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a quote?

To get a quote, we ask that you send us some rough dimensions or your cabinetry layout.  It doesn't need to be anything fancy but something that we can give you a ballpark price on.  We ask that you have a material in mind that you'd like as well - i.e. laminate, solid surface, granite or quartz.  If you're unsure of the product you're looking for, you can stop at our office to take a look at our samples.

What is your lead time?

Normally, if you need to set up a template or measure, we're about a week out.  So please plan ahead if you are on a tight schedule.  From template day to install day, please allow 3 - 4 weeks.  All the products that we fabricate are custom made to your sizes to fit your particular space, so please keep in mind that we must order material & have enough time to fabricate your counters.

Color & Design Opportunities with Countertops

-Laminate
Laminate countertops are available in a multitude of colors, styles and manufacturers. Like solid surfaces, laminate is a manufactured product and can be infused with hundreds of different colors. It can come in several finishes and textures and can easily resemble wood, granite or marble like with the Wilsonart HD finish line of laminate or the Formica RD finish line of laminate. The versatility of laminate is apparent in its finishes. Matte, glossy and granular are all popular choices and the manufacturers are always looking at different textures and color combinations to suite today's modern kitchens.

-Solid Surface
Solid surface materials are made of acrylics and polyesters which are a 1/2 inch thick of solid material.  Solid surface is available in hundreds of solid and patterned colors. It is non-porous and bacteria free. Solid surfaces can be used as a renewable surface, which makes it easy to clean and repair. Scratches and knicks can quickly be taken care of by just sanding the surface and polishing.  You can easily maintain your solid surface and keep it looking new after years and years of use.

-Quartz
Quartz is available through many different manufacturers which provide you with hundreds of color selections.  Quartz is 95% natural quartz and 5% polyester or acrylic.  It is as hard as granite, which makes it scratch resistant. Quartz is a natural product, but engineered, which makes pattern and color control consistent between all the slabs manufactured in a certain color. It is non-porous, bacteria resistant and needs virtually no maintenance.

-Granite
Granite is a natural product which has no warranty or any guarantee because it is not man made or engineered like quartz. Slabs of granite vary from quarry to quarry. Granite is unique so the slab you pick is unlike anyone else's and makes your kitchen custom. Most granites and marbles are cut from South America, Africa, Italy, India and China.  You must clean, seal and polish granite surfaces at least once a year to maintain them.  Granite is a very hard surface which makes it scratch resistant.
